MTKH412-8 is an asynchronous three-phase electric motor with a squirrel-cage rotor. The advantages of the motors include high reliability, low operating costs, high efficiency, and relatively low cost. However, asynchronous motors with a squirrel-cage rotor are more sensitive to voltage drops and require high starting currents. The heat resistance class of the winding insulation of MTKH412-8 electric motors is H (up to 180°C). MTKH412-8 crane electric motors are designed to operate in electric drives of lifting and transport mechanisms and metallurgical units. Tower, portal, gantry, bridge cranes, and other lifting mechanisms are equipped with such motors.
