Foundry bentonite

Quartz sand is the main component in the sand. It forms the structural framework of the mold thanks to bentonite, which binds the sand particles together, giving the mold strength.

The main advantage of bentonite is the ability to restore its properties after additional hydration. This allows you to reuse the moldable mixture after pouring molds with metal and knocking out castings.

Repeated use of the molding mixture with bentonite significantly reduces the cost of waste transported to dumps and their disposal.

In the production of complex bentonite-carbon products "Bentacarb" for the manufacture of iron casting, bentonite from the 10th Khutor deposit is used. For the production of bentopowders for foundry molds in the manufacture of iron, steel and non-ferrous castings, we use bentonites from the 10th Khutor, Dash-Salakhlinsky and Zyryansky deposits.
