Modernization of the Compressor K1290-121-1

(Service)
Online Support Service: No
Interpretation of Data: No
Overview:
  • The problem that arose was a deviation from the passport data: as a result of prolonged use, productivity and pressure decrease.
  • The task is to increase the yield of the final product, by increasing the productivity of the process air. To do this, it is necessary to modernize the compressor installation.
  • Compressor upgrade methods
  • Increase in rotor rotation (<frequency> method).
  • Re-equipment of the compressor unit with a booster unit ("booster" method).
  • Streamline modernization.

The most economically feasible option is the modernization of the compressor flow path.

  • The result of the modernization is an increase in productivity by about 22%, and a final pressure of 5% compared to the passport data.

Streamline upgrade with a slight increase in turbine speed.

    • Increase the turbine speed from 3300 to 3400 rpm.
    • Changing the flow of the wheels and diffusers:
      • The increase in all wheels of the input angle of the blades (an average of 1.09 times).
      • The increase in the width of the wheels (an average of 1.07 times).
      • The blade lattices of all wheels are made single-tier, and not two-tier, as was the case in the standard flow part.
      • Increasing the diameter of the wheels (only on the first two).
      • Positive angles of attack of the wheel blades in nominal mode are provided.
      • The blades of the wheels are thinned to the output edges symmetrically with respect to the midline.
      • The densities of the blade vanes of the wheels have been optimized.
      • By reducing the diameters of the wheels of the second section, the conditional coefficients of these wheels are increased.
      • The thickness of the wheel blades of the first, second and fourth sections has been reduced.
      • The positive angles of attack of the diffuser blades of the first, second and fourth sections are too large.
      • The thickness of the blades of the low-pressure cylinder diffusers has been reduced (decrease from 5% to 3%).
      • Reduced the number of blades in the diffusers.
      • The densities of the diffuser vanes are optimized.
      • In the new CVP wheels, there are no interscapular cutouts on the periphery of the discs.
      • In some steps, the wheels are offset relative to the diffusers.
      • The relative length of the thinning of the wheel blades to the input and output edges has been increased.
      • The radius of curvature of the cover discs of the first, second, ninth and tenth wheels has been increased.
      • The angle of attack of the vanes of the backward-directing apparatuses is reduced.
      • Clearances were fixed between the ends of the wheel blades and the curves of the cover discs.
      • The opening angles of the interscapular channels of the wheels of the first and second sections are reduced.
      • Large angles of attack of snail languages of the first and second sections are reduced.
      • The gaps between the outer ends of the wheel disks and the stator are optimized.

In practice, the modernization of the flow part consists in replacing with both new full-time compressor rotors and all 12 diffusers.
