Description:

VENSYS Energy AG is a German wind turbine manufacturer founded in 2000 as a spin-off from the Saarland University of Applied Sciences. The company is headquartered in Neunkirchen, Germany. Its core technology is gearless wind turbines with a permanent magnet direct drive (PMDD) and a full converter system. The product range includes platforms from 1.5 MW to 7.8 MW for all wind classes and locations, with the Vensys 175 as the only geared model. The Chinese company Goldwind holds a 70% stake in VENSYS, and VENSYS acts as a licensor of its PMDD technology to Goldwind, ReGen Powertech (India), and other partners. The company offers project development, installation, grid connection, and service packages. Production and logistics capacities support projects in Europe, North America, and other global markets. VENSYS also develops and manufactures key components such as inverters (VENCON series) and rotor blades through its subsidiaries.
