Description:
The Cutmaster A Series is a range of four compact systems for air plasma cutting. The new A-Series is equipped with a SL100®SV 1Torch® plasmatron with a length of 7.6 m, 10.6 m or 15.2 m with a standard ATC quick disconnect connection (lengths up to 30.5 m are available on request). The technology for starting a pilot arc in 1Torch plasmatrons does not produce electronic interference that can occur in plasmatrons of other designs. 1Torch provides a quick and reliable start and a stable pilot arc, and with the automatic restart function, it can cut a metal grid easily and quickly.
Overview:

The new generation of CUTMASTER automatic plasma cutting systems from Thermal Dynamics®.

Built on the same robust platform as the TRUE series, CUTMASTER Series A offers an advanced feature set to meet the needs of most automated plasma cutting applications.

Powerful 80% duty cycle capable of cutting in production conditions throughout the day, including the most difficult operating conditions
Lightweight and compact design, as well as quickly mounted supports allow you to quickly start an automatic system at the work site
The presence of an air valve in the plasmatron reduces the start-up time of the working arc after the transition between parts, thereby increasing productivity
CNC interface connector providing “Start / Stop” and “Move Start” signals is located on the back side of the current source

Full control of the power source is possible when connected to the interface inside the power source

The software automatically detects the type of connected plasmatron and provides switching between automated and manual mode

Specialized software reduces cycle times and increases productivity in many automated cutting applications

Series A units come with the SL100®SV 1Torch® plasma torch with standard ATC quick coupler and loop lengths of 7.6 m, 10.7 m or 15.2 m (longer loops with a length of up to 30.5 m are available). The arc ignition technology in the 1Torch plasmatron eliminates the generation of electrical noise that can be generated in current sources of other manufacturers. Plasmatron 1Torch guarantees fast ignition of the arc without possible misfires, and a powerful pilot arc capable of punching a hole in a metal of large thickness. With a system of automatic restart of the pilot arc, the installation is able to cut not only the source metal but also the metal mesh.

Due to the advantages of the 1Torch plasmatron and the reliability of CUTMASTER machines, the new CUTMASTER Series A machines for automated cutting successfully achieve the best results in productivity, accuracy and cutting efficiency.

Opportunities:
Front Panel: Main switch, Mode selection, Arc current controller, Air pressure controller, Current source status indicator lights, Error / pressure indicator lights
CNC Interface Connector: Start / Stop (input), Start moving output, Standard CNC cable length of 7.6; 10.7 or; 15.2 meters, Optional circuit board for outputting a voltage signal on an arc with a divider, Quick connection to the output of a voltage signal on an arc through a special hole in the housing
Standard supports with quick-assembly units

Superior performance:

SureLok® Electrode Technology
An innovative, patented electrode self-locking mechanism eliminates the need for a mounting tool and ensures precise alignment of the electrode and nozzle. Both the electrode and the tip are fixed in the equal position, which guarantees a high-precision arc shape and precise cutting. The alignment and proper positioning of the consumables using SureLok technology also ensures extended electrode and nozzle life while reducing manufacturing costs.

Total Gas Management ™

The SL100®SV 1Torch® plasma torch has a completely new nozzle design technology that eliminates the need to have a separate gas distributor as an accessory. Each nozzle has gas openings of a unique configuration and location, increasing the quality and productivity of cutting at the rated current of the nozzle. To obtain an optimal cutting process, it is only necessary to choose a nozzle for the required plasma arc current of 20, 30, 40, 60, 80, 100 or 120 amperes. The result is complete and proper control of gas flows, which increases the life of consumables and improves cutting performance.

Highest quality at all arc currents

Whatever you make from plate metal, or just cut decorative shapes, the CUTMASTER® range is the perfect choice for this job. For example, at a current of 120 A on a plasma arc, the CUTMASTER A120 performs the BEST, QUALITY CUTTING on mild steel with a thickness of 12 mm at a speed of 1.86 m / min. For those cases when complex shapes are cut, choose a low current nozzle and perform work with a cut width of less than 1.14 mm. If you cut sheet metal, work with heating, ventilation and air conditioning pipelines or cut decorative shapes, CUTMASTER series automated cutting systems are the right choice for you.

Starter cartridge

In CUTMASTER series installations, the contact method using the “Start Cartridge” is used to excite the arc, and systems with high-frequency ignition capable of interfering are not used. The patented “Start cartridge” component is located between the nozzle and the electrode, and is at rest in contact with the nozzle.

At start-up, the flow of plasma-forming gas - compressed air, causes the cartridge piston to disconnect from the nozzle, which is under idle voltage, igniting the pilot arc. This unique development allows you to ignite the pilot arc without moving the tip or electrode, which increases the resource of parts, increases cutting performance and reliability.

The start cartridge is the only moving part in the SL100SV plasmatron. This is the difference from other plasmatrons, where the moving part is the burner head. If moving parts in such plasmatrons fail, you will have to replace the entire burner head. This is an expensive and complex operation that requires time and money. If our starter cartridge is defective, replacing it is economical, simple and time-consuming. In less than a minute, you can work again.
