LEMKEN GmbH & Co. KG is a German manufacturer of agricultural machinery headquartered in Alpen, Germany. The company traces its roots back to 1780, when a blacksmith's workshop was established in Alpen by the Lemken family. Initially, the workshop focused on manufacturing and repairing agricultural implements for local farms. During the 19th century, the smithy evolved into a specialised mechanical engineering enterprise, beginning serial production of plough bodies, shares, and mouldboards. For more than two centuries, the company has remained a family-owned business under the management of the Lemken family. Today, LEMKEN is one of Europe's major manufacturers of soil cultivation and seeding equipment. The production programme covers ploughs, cultivators, disc harrows, seed drills, and sprayers. Manufacturing is concentrated at the Alpen plant, with additional production facilities in India and China. The company maintains sales offices and dealer networks in Russia, CIS countries, Western and Eastern Europe, India, and China.
