PÖTTINGER Landtechnik GmbH is an Austrian family-owned agricultural machinery manufacturer headquartered in Grieskirchen, Upper Austria. The company was founded in 1871 when Franz Pöttinger, a master clockmaker, locksmith, blacksmith and well builder, built a forage cutting machine. Over 150 years, the company has grown from a small workshop into an international manufacturer of agricultural machinery. PÖTTINGER entered the arable farming technology market in 1975 following the acquisition of Bayerische Pflugfabrik ("Bavarian Plough Factory") in Landsberg, Germany. In 1991, the fourth generation began developing the family company into a leading international manufacturer. Today, PÖTTINGER is a specialist in grassland, tillage and seeding technology, with four production plants in three countries and over 2,100 employees worldwide.
