Description:
Scotchkote 352 HT is a polyurethane anti-corrosion coating whose main application is the protection of underground and above-ground metal structures.
Overview:

Material composition

The substance consists entirely of polyurethane, does not contain solvent or coal tar, which can adversely affect the performance of the product. This composition gives the material a number of features that have a positive effect on its operation.

Application area

Scotchkote coating is used for:

  • waterproofing of ground and underground structures;

  • ensuring waterproofing of metal pipelines and other surfaces;

  • ensuring the protection of objects for various purposes from an excess of moisture and the formation of corrosion.

Product properties

  • Scotchkote undergoes polymerization even at air temperatures below zero;

  • has a high rate of polymerization.

  • resistant to excess moisture and ultraviolet radiation;

  • can be used in tandem with coatings for anti-corrosion protection of the cathode;

  • does not exfoliate during cathodic polarization;

  • has high adhesion, which is maintained even under conditions of high humidity;

  • has the ability to instantly harden;

  • resistant to temperature changes.

Technical data sheet Scotchkote 352 HT

The basis of the technical component is determined by temperature indicators, compliance with which will ensure the creation of a high-quality coating.

Application temperature range

from -10°С to +35°С

Operating temperature range

from +65°С to +100°С

Storage temperature

not higher than + 40°C

Maximum heating temperature of the base material

up to +35°C

Recommendations for working with the material

Before applying the anti-corrosion compound to the work surface, it is pre-cleaned and treated with a primer. Scotchkote is mixed in proportions of 3 to 1. The material is applied to the surface with a brush or roller, without preliminary priming or intermediate drying. The application technology consists in layer-by-layer laying of the material on the base. The recommended layer thickness was no more than 1 mm.
