MagMapper has a graphical interface for quickly and efficiently designing and conducting surveys. With a discrete survey, profile numbers and known landmarks are used to determine map parameters. Or you can specify the entire shooting grid. During the shooting, the operator can see the distance covered, i.e. your location and current profile. The location information may originate from an external GPS or determined by reference points entered by the operator. At any time, you can view the last five summarized profiles. Data is accumulated in separate files (up to five) and transferred to the computer via the high-speed RS232 port for further analysis and map building.
G-858 can be used both for continuous shooting, and shooting individual sections. In both cases, equally high quality is ensured. The lower cost of work is characteristic of continuous shooting due to the high sampling frequency, which allows the operator to shoot at a fast pace, covering 10 times the area than with previous magnetometers. Sometimes it is possible to achieve lower cost of work using a gradiometer that increases the radius of the survey. For example, a horizontal gradiometer provides double coverage density with close proximity of profiles. In this case, you can cover the entire area with 50% time savings.
