WD230-11500 (15 MW Onshore Wind Turbine)

The WD230-11500 is Windey’s flagship onshore wind turbine, designed for overseas desert and wilderness environments as well as high-wind-speed large-base scenarios. It is the world’s largest onshore wind turbine to obtain IEC RE certification. The turbine features a 230 m rotor and a rated capacity of 11,500 kW. Key innovations include hybrid carbon/glass fiber blade technology that reduces weight by 15% and improves aerodynamic performance by 10%. A newly developed medium-to-high wind speed airfoil design increases overall power generation capacity by 10% to 15%. The nacelle has a modular design for transport, with maximum weight under 100 t and height under 5 m.
