COFOMEGRA Additive Oil for Magnesium is a fluid formulated for the magnesium plate photo-etching process. The product is designed to protect non-image areas during etching, ensuring clear and sharp edges on the finished plates. The additive is used in combination with nitric acid (42° Baume) and water to prepare the etching bath. The recommended concentration in the bath is between 4% and 5% by volume. The product offers protective properties that allow for a lower dosage compared to standard market recommendations, resulting in 20% oil savings with cost and pollution reductions. The etching bath temperature must be maintained between 28°C and 32°C during operation. Paddle speed and depth are specified parameters for achieving optimal etching results with this fluid.
