Decanter Centrifuge – Solid Bowl

The SIEBTECHNIK TEMA Decanter centrifuge is a continuously operating solid bowl screw centrifuge available in tunnel or pedestal bearing design. The machine offers highly efficient separation of even the finest solids with almost complete clarification of the liquid phase. Decanters are used to separate very fine solids from specifically lighter liquids; the solids sediment within the liquid and are not retained by a sieve element. The machine operates according to the counter-current principle, with the suspension fed approximately in the middle of the bowl. The sedimented solids are conveyed by a screw rotating at a differential speed to the small diameter, while clarified liquid overflows at the opposite end. The liquid level height can be adjusted to optimize the ratio between clarifying and drying sections. Key advantages include continuous operation, wide range of applications, flexible drive concept, high machine availability, minimal maintenance, and long service life. The decanter is available with bowl inclinations between 6° and 15°, single or double drive, hydraulic or frequency converter drive, and as two-phase decanters. Gas-tight designs and ATEX-compliant inertization options are available for explosive environments.
