Meiji Techno Co., Ltd. is the third-largest manufacturer of optical microscopes in Japan. Founded in 1964 as Azuma Optics Co., Ltd., the company began as a contract manufacturer of microscopes, quickly establishing a reputation for high quality and fast delivery. In 1975, the company reformed into Meiji Techno Co., Ltd. and began selling microscopes directly to the public. Originally a manufacturer of educational microscopes, Meiji Techno has since expanded its product lines into the industrial, laboratory, and higher education markets. Meiji Techno America was incorporated in 1986 as a subsidiary, distributing products and offering technical assistance throughout the United States, Canada, and South and Central America. The company acquired ISO9001 certification in August 2003 and has developed a diverse network of over 240 knowledgeable dealers. Products are sold throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Meiji Techno offers a wide range of stereo microscopes, compound microscopes, digital microscopes, macrozoom systems, camera systems, and accessories, with a focus on modular flexibility, superb optics, and rugged dependability.
