Drilling Mud Cleaning Equipment
Composition of the drilling mud cleaning system
The drilling mud cleaning system consists of the following elements: a shaker; hydrocyclones with a drying unit; a centrifuge and a tank.
A mud recirculator is a device that filters solids and drilling fluid rising from the well. A shaker separates large solids, a hydrocyclone separates smaller solids, and a centrifuge separates solids of approximately 40 microns and above. The drilling fluid cleaning system is also equipped with auxiliary units, such as vibrating screens, screw conveyors, various pumps, mud bins, and vacuum degassers. After the mud has passed through the system and settled in a clean container, it can be pumped back into the well.
Drilling mud cleaning units are designed so that each individual component of the system ensures the maximum efficiency of the next. With modern developments in this field and appropriate maintenance, the efficiency of cleaning equipment reaches 80 points.
The equipment in question fully complies with the requirements set out in international standards in this industry.
