BURSID is a highly effective acid-soluble weighting agent based on modified siderite ore. It is used in drilling exploratory and production wells in the oil and gas industry to obtain high-density drilling fluids. Advantages Provides weighting of drilling fluids up to 1750 kg/m3; Fills voids in the borehole walls, protecting it from groundwater; Does not cause irreversible clogging of pores or fractures in productive formations; Is well compatible with various bases, such as diesel fuel, synthetic oils, reagents for OBM; Can significantly reduce mud absorption during drilling of porous formations; Has low abrasiveness; Is well soluble in acids, which helps restore the reservoir properties of productive formations; Has a low moisture content (0.1%), due to which the material is not subject to "freezing", which significantly reduces the time spent on weighting the drilling fluid at low temperatures;
