描述:
According to statistical data on ESP failures, calcium deposits on the ESP working parts account for an average of 25% of all causes of ESP failure. In some cases, the same well experienced multiple ESP failures. The costs incurred for ESP replacement also include lost profits from forced well downtime during the replacement and startup of the ESP. Thus, the total costs of using calcium-based wellkillers include the cost of the wellkiller itself, the cost of ESP replacement, losses from well downtime during ESP replacement, and the cost of purchasing scale inhibitors. Using GL-1-13, a calcium-free wellkiller, will increase the average operating time of the ESP before its first failure by 30%, provide additional oil flow due to the increased average operating time of the ESP, reduce ESP replacement costs, and reduce the need for workover crews to replace the ESP. Furthermore, the costs of inhibitor-based scale protection measures will decrease over time due to a significant reduction in calcium ions, which are the primary cause of salt precipitation. The costs of using the calcium-free GL 1-13 composition are lower than those of calcium-based compositions. In addition to the problem of ESP pump failure, the use of calcium-based kill fluids significantly increases the calcium ion content in the wellhead-centralized pumping station-knob pumping station circulation system. This, in turn, leads to instability of the produced water, and minor changes in temperature, pH, and other physical parameters inevitably lead to an increased risk of calcite precipitation (and in some cases, calcium sulfate—gypsum) in the formation and production wells. This entails additional costs associated with acid washouts of the wells to dissolve calcite deposits.

INFORMATION FOR USE
GL 1-13 can be used to prepare well-killing fluids in the spring, summer, and fall with a maximum density of 1.4 g/cm³ and a flow rate of 667.3 kg/m³, with an initial crystallization temperature of -18°C. The flow rate for preparing well-killing fluid with a density of 1.35 g/cm³ is 600 kg/m³. Furthermore, the GL 1-13-based well-killing fluid solution is completely free of calcium ions and is compatible with halite-based solutions, including those used in oilfields.
We invite you to consider using the calcium-free GL 1-13 composition in well-killing technologies to evaluate the potential of technologies that reduce scale deposits in pumps, oil gathering systems, and reservoir pressure maintenance systems. Our technical services are ready to collaborate with you on this topic and refine the economic feasibility calculations for this technology.
