The RTZO-88 series device is designed to power and control electric actuators of shutoff valves and electric motors of auxiliary power plant mechanisms. The series includes models with power ratings up to 28 kW. The device provides protection and operational control of the motors.

1. Purpose and scope of application

Low-voltage switchgear units (LVSU) of the RTZO-88 series are designed for:

  • power supply and control of electric drives of shut-off and control valves with a capacity of up to 10 kW and 14–28 kW;
  • control of electric motors of auxiliary mechanisms of thermal power plants and nuclear power plants with a capacity of up to 11 kW.

Application area: industry, energy facilities, housing and communal services.
Manufactured according to GOST R 51321, TU 16-536.024-75.

2. Performances (variations)

The devices are available in several modifications, differing in their element base:

Designation Peculiarities
RTZO-88M Basic series according to working project OLX.084.215-88M.
RTZO-88V A modernized series, retaining the same schematics and dimensions as the RTZO-88M. Adaptation to automated process control systems has been improved, and external wiring has been simplified.
RTZO-88BSE Schneider Electric components (circuit breakers and starters), diagrams and dimensions are the same as for РТЗО-88В.
RTZO-88BSO Schneider Electric circuit breakers + domestically produced starters, diagrams and dimensions – the same as RTZO-88V.
RTZO-88MSE Schneider Electric components, diagrams and dimensions are the same as for RTZO-88M.
RTZO-88SI Siemens components, circuit diagrams and dimensions are the same as those of the RTZO-88M.

At customer request, delivery in Rittal designs with imported equipment is possible.

3. Operating conditions

  • Ambient temperature: from +5 to +40 °C .
  • Altitude above sea level: no more than 2000 m .
  • Seismic resistance: up to 9 points according to MSK-64 (upon order).
  • Environment: non-explosive, no aggressive gases or vapors.
  • Protection class: IP41 (cabinet version).

4. Design and features

  • Modular design of switchgear.
  • Side walls are installed only on the outer cabinets.
  • Wire entry – from above or below.
  • Input cabinets are designed to connect up to 8 cables with a cross-section of up to 185 mm² (depending on the design).
  • The terminal blocks are located on the cabinet frame, which simplifies the connection of external circuits.
  • A unified signaling circuit with indication of circuit breaker tripping on control units.

Dimensions of cabinets (H × W × D):

  • 2000(2200) × 800 × 400 mm – single-row without cable assembly;
  • 2000(2200) × 1200 × 400 mm – single-row with cable assembly device;
  • 2000(2200) × 800 × 800 mm – double-row.

6. Delivery set

Delivery can be carried out in the form of:

  • separate cabinets;
  • cabinets for assembly into panels at the installation site;
  • ready-made panels from several cabinets with inter-cabinet connections.

The set includes:

  • cabinets/units according to the order specifications;
  • a set of technical documentation (passport, electrical circuit diagram, instructions);
  • fasteners for assembling panels (if necessary).

7. Ordering procedure

To place an order, you must fill out a questionnaire indicating:

  • type of metal structure;
  • block composition of the low-voltage switchgear (according to the RTZO-88M or RTZO-88V design);
  • relative position of cabinets and units;
  • rated currents of circuit breaker tripping devices.

When ordering several panels, the questionnaire is completed with the main inscription in accordance with GOST 2.104-68.
