Drilling of Directional and Horizontal wells

Before drilling a well, the aquifer is explored using maps and on-site surveys. This preliminary survey allows for the selection of the drilling method and equipment required. For hard-to-reach areas, small drilling rigs are used, while truck-mounted drilling rigs can drill wells up to three hundred meters deep.

Drilling a well is a complex process, especially when the water is deep, but using specialized equipment speeds up the process. A compact rig can drill a well in a day, while machine drilling takes three to four days.

With machine drilling, a borehole is first dug and cemented. A casing is then installed, and the borehole is drilled to the desired depth.
