UH-3 Unihead® Wellhead System
Key benefits include faster time to production, lower operating costs, and reduced non‑productive time. The sliploc connection eliminates unnecessary welding, saving about eight hours of rig time. Mandrel hangers allow cementing to begin immediately after landing – there is no need to wait on cement before installing the annular packoff. Both hanger and packoff are installed through the BOP, reducing trips and enhancing safety. The system is ideal for up to 10,000 psi applications in sweet and sour (H₂S) environments.
The split Unihead design also provides contingency options: if a section of the wellhead is damaged, it can be replaced without special internal casing cutting operations. A tubing hanger with a false bowl is available to retrieve tubing through a lighter workover BOP. TechnipFMC offers 24/7 global service and aftermarket support, including installation, repair, maintenance, asset management, and decommissioning, with local inventories and rental options.
