Ad‑3253B — Ultrasonic Thickness Tester

The AD‑3253B is a portable, lightweight ultrasonic thickness gauge designed for precision measurement of a wide variety of solid objects from metals to plastics. It transmits and receives ultrasonic waves and displays the material‑under‑test thickness. Weighing only 180 g, it is easy to carry and use for hours of fatigue‑free operation. Operation is simple: place the probe on the test material and the AD‑3253B automatically displays the correct thickness. The easy‑to‑read LCD display shows both measured thickness and sonic velocity of the sample. Sonic velocities are easily entered and stored in memory, remaining even when the unit is powered off or the battery is changed. The unit features a low battery indicator, selectable units of measure (inches or millimetres), and an automatic power‑off function that extends operating life. It operates for more than 30 hours from one AA alkaline battery. Applications include thickness measurement, corrosion testing, and inspection of steel, titanium, aluminium, copper, brass, glass, ceramic, plastic, and more.
