The correlation leak detector TAK-2005 is designed to detect leaks (fistulas, cracks) in underground pipelines during their construction and operation. If the leak is located on one side behind one of the sensors, the device determines the direction of the leak.

Operating principle:

The principle of operation of the device is based on the location of acoustic noise (acoustic emission) that occurs when fluid flows through a discontinuity in the presence of excess pressure in the pipe.

The location of the leak is determined using two acoustic probes mounted on the wall of the pipeline on either side of the estimated leak location using a cross-correlation method. Communication with the sensor via cable or radio channel.
