Complete transformer block substations for voltage KTPB(Ch)-35-220 kV are designed for receiving, converting, distributing and transiting three-phase alternating current electric energy with industrial frequency of 50 Hz at nominal voltages of 35, 110, 220 kV. KTPB(Ch) 35-220 kV are intended for outdoor installation at an altitude of no more than 1000 m above sea level and operation in conditions corresponding to UHL and U versions of placement category 1 and in type II atmosphere according to GOST 15150 and GOST 15543, with insulation of high-voltage devices of categories A(I-II) and B(II*) according to GOST 9920. KTPB(Ch) are designed to withstand maximum wind loads corresponding to climatic zone IV in wind direction, and ice loads corresponding to ice zone IV, as well as the combined effects of climatic factors in combinations corresponding to the "Rules for the Installation of Electrical Installations".

Design:
KTPB(Ch) 35-220 kV generally consists of open (closed) switchgear 35, 110 and 220 kV, power transformers, indoor switchgear 10(6) kV with cubicles of switchgear 10(6) kV or, KSO, general substation control point (GSP), cable structures, rigid and flexible busbars, lightning protection, grounding of outdoor lighting with a set of inventory devices and handles, cubicles of auxiliary transformers (AN), fencing.
Open switchgear units 35, 110, 220 kV are made from standardized transportable factory-made units consisting of a metal supporting frame with high-voltage equipment and auxiliary circuit elements mounted on it.
