Description:
Purpose and scope of application Purpose and scope of application: The "Gipan α+" reagent is intended for use in oil production processes during enhanced oil recovery operations to limit water influx and during well repair and isolation operations. The technology using the "Gipan α+" reagent involves increasing the current and final oil recovery values by increasing formation coverage during flooding, achieved by pumping aqueous solutions of chemical reagents through injection wells that form a gel-like precipitate upon interaction. The "Gipan α+" reagent is available in two commercial forms: grade A - an aqueous solution; grade B - a dry form.
Overview:
Physicochemical properties
| Brand A | Brand B | |
|---|---|---|
| Appearance | viscous liquid from colorless until dark brown | powder or lumps from yellow until brown; an orange tint is allowed |
| Density at 20 °C, kg/ m3 , not less than | 1040–1060 | — |
| Hydrogen index of an aqueous solution, pH | 8.0–12.5 | |
| Mass fraction of dry residue, %, not less than | 8.0–10.0 | — |
| Mass fraction of water, %, not more than | — | 5.0-10.0 |
Advantages
- High technology, use of standard equipment.
- Possibility of use in high-temperature formations.
- Adjustable gel time.
- Hydrodynamic selectivity of action.
- The reagent is non-toxic and does not harm the environment or the commercial qualities of oil.
Download volumes
- The technology utilizes a sequential, alternating cyclic injection scheme of aqueous solutions of two reagents with water buffers between them. It is recommended for use in wells with a daily injectivity of 300–500 m³ . The volume of the injected composition depends on the depth of penetration of the working solution, geological and physical parameters, the interval and source of the water intrusion, and the well operating conditions.
Equipment used
- When carrying out technological operations for injecting reagents into the formation, a chemical reagent preparation and dosing unit (CPU, UPKhR, KUDR) is used.
