The PShZ 600/1200 shaft furnace is designed for heat treatment of metals in air. Its vertical design with a shaft chamber ensures uniform heating of workpieces. The equipment is used for hardening, annealing, normalizing, and other processes requiring controlled heating.

Operating Rules
When operating the furnace, safety requirements in accordance with GOST 12.3.004-75 are observed:

• providing exhaust ventilation to remove heated gases and harmful emissions;
• placing heated products in areas with forced air circulation;
• checking the grounding of non-current-carrying parts and insulation of heating elements before starting;
• control of the dryness of the floor under the stove and in the pit;
• monitoring the position of the heating zone based on readings from control and measuring instruments;
• maintaining the maximum temperature no higher than 1200 °C;
• loading the cage with a mass not exceeding the calculated capacity;
• use of ring suction to minimize discharge;
• complete cooling before unloading;
• Maintenance only in a switched-off state using personal protective equipment.

Installation
The furnace is installed in ventilated areas in compliance with safety regulations. It is connected to a three-phase 380V power supply. During operation, the insulation condition is monitored, and the heating elements are replaced promptly. The equipment is integrated into production lines that require consistent heat treatment.
