Description:
AEM’s three‑phase asynchronous generators are designed for regenerative braking energy recovery back into the system and for electrical energy generation. They require a supply network (grid‑excited) or a parallel‑connected capacitor bank in isolated operation (capacitor‑excited or self‑excited). Speed and power factor are independent of the generator operation. The machines offer high reliability, long service life, and extremely economical operation. They are more cost‑effective and lower‑maintenance compared to traditional synchronous generators and provide easy grid connection without synchronisation problems. Shaft heights go up to 800, protection degree up to IP56, and cooling systems up to IC 86W7, with speeds up to 3,600 rpm. Applications include hydropower, test bench generators, on‑board systems generators, and general industrial power generation.
