Description:
The Schorch KN series is a line of low voltage, three-phase asynchronous IEC motors with IP23 degree of protection (open drip-proof). These motors are built on cast-iron frames and are available in frame sizes 250 to 400. Power outputs range from 37 kW to 1,300 kW with 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 poles. The motors are efficiency class IE2 or IE3 (customer-selected) and are suitable for both direct on-line and inverter operation. Cooling methods are IC01 (natural air convection) or IC06 (forced air ventilation). Insulation is Class F with temperature rise to Class B, or Class H on request. The open drip-proof design allows air to circulate freely, making the motor suitable for indoor environments where dust and moisture ingress is limited. Typical applications include compressors, fans, pumps, mills, conveyors, and centrifuges in the chemical, cement, mining, water treatment, and steel industries.
