Description:
The Schorch WEX3 series is a range of flameproof, low voltage three-phase asynchronous motors designed for use in hazardous atmospheres. The motors are built on cast-iron frames with IP55 degree of protection and cooling method IC411 (TEFC). The series covers frame sizes 80 to 355, with power outputs from 0.55 kW to 375 kW and 2 to 16 poles. The motors are certified to ATEX and IECEx standards and include explosion protection levels (II2G) Ex db IIB/IIC T4/T5 Gb and (II2G) Ex db eb IIB/IIC T4/T5 Gb, making them suitable for Zone 1, Zone 2, and Zone 22 hazardous areas (gases, vapours, and dusts). The motors are rated for continuous duty (S1) with Class F insulation (temperature rise to Class B) and are suitable for direct on-line and inverter operation. Applications include oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, mining, and power generation industries where explosive gas mixtures may be present.
