HMP 250 (High‑Speed Asynchronous motor)

The HMP 250 is a high‑speed asynchronous motor specifically engineered for variable speed drive applications that demand exceptionally high rotational speeds, such as machine tool spindles, turbo‑machinery, and dynamic test stands. Featuring a compact square frame design with IP23 enclosure protection and self‑ventilation (IC06), the motor incorporates hybrid ceramic ball bearings (P4 class) that enable continuous operation at speeds up to 15,000 rpm while maintaining low friction and high stiffness. The bearings are lubricated by an automatic greasing device to ensure reliable operation and extended maintenance intervals, and the motor is dynamically balanced to a high precision class (better than G2.5) to guarantee smooth running at elevated speeds. The motor delivers a nominal output of 250 kW at 4,766 rpm and is constructed with a fully laminated stator and rotor to minimize eddy current losses at high switching frequencies. It is equipped with PTC thermistors and optionally with winding temperature sensors (Pt100) for comprehensive thermal protection. The terminal box is designed for easy access and accommodates both power and signal cables, with the motor supplied complete for flange mounting (B35 with F500 flange).
