LS6 Series Low‑Voltage TEFC Cast Iron Motor (LS6 160L‑4)

The LS6 Series is a range of three‑phase TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan‑Cooled) cast iron motors manufactured by ACTOM Electrical Machines. The LS6 160L‑4 is a 4‑pole motor rated at 15 kW at 50 Hz, 400 V. The motor features Class H insulation with VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) and Class B temperature rise, ensuring long insulation life and high reliability. The motor offers IP66 degree of enclosure protection as standard, providing excellent protection against dust and water ingress. Heavy‑duty bearings are regreasable in frame size 160 and higher, with large volume, 90° rotatable cast iron terminal boxes and detachable gland plates in frame size 160 and higher. The motor is compatible with variable speed drives (V peak < 1640V at motor terminals; rise time > 0.3 μsec). The LS6 series is manufactured in accordance with SANS 1804‑1, SANS 1804‑2, SANS 60034‑1, SANS 60034‑2‑1, SANS 60034‑30 (IE3 Premium Efficiency), SANS 60034‑5 (IP66), SANS 60034‑14, SANS 60034‑7, and SANS 60034‑6. The motor is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, and general industrial drives.
