Concrete Control

(Service)
Online Support Service: No
Interpretation of Data: No
Overview:

The laboratory examines concrete and reinforced concrete structures to solve the following problems:

  • Inspection of concrete structures up to 2,500 mm thick to determine the integrity of the material in the structure;
  • Inspection of reinforced concrete structures up to 800 mm thick in order to determine the integrity of the material in the structure;
  • Search for foreign inclusions, cavities, spills, delaminations and cracks in the objects of control of concrete, reinforced concrete and natural stone;
  • Inspection of marble and granite structures up to 2,000 mm thick;
  • Search for plastic and metal pipes with a diameter of 10 mm or more in reinforced concrete;
  • Study of the internal structure of carbon electrodes with a diameter of 900 mm or more;
  • Assessment of the condition of channels with prestressed reinforcement in reinforced concrete bridges;
  • Control of foundations, columns, ceilings in monolithic structures in order to identify spills;
  • Search for voids behind tubing in subways and railway tunnels;
  • Control of refractory blocks of a glass-blowing furnace;
  • Determining the thickness of the protective layer and the depth of the reinforcement;
  • Measurement of the thickness of the object of control with one-way access;
  • Study of the internal structure of coarse-grained materials;
  • Diagnostics of anchor bolts with a diameter of 24 to 36 mm of the foundations of the metal supports of the contact network without excavation, access to the upper end surface of the bolts up to 3.5 m long;
  • Assessment of concrete strength based on the correlation of the speed / time of propagation of ultrasonic waves in concrete. Both express analysis and laboratory testing of selected samples are possible;
  • Search for near-surface defects in concrete structures by an anomalous decrease in speed or an increase in the transit time of ultrasound in a defective place;
  • Assessment of the degree of anisotropy of composite materials;
  • Assessment of the degree of maturation of concrete during construction by the method of cast concrete and sliding formwork;
  • Assessment of the bearing capacity of concrete pillars and supports;
  • Assessment of the depth of a crack extending to the surface;
  • Assessment of porosity and fracture of the material;
  • Estimation of the age of the material provided that its properties change over time.

For the inspection of concrete, laboratory specialists use modern equipment to quickly obtain clear and reliable results. Along with an ultrasonic tester, UK1401 uses the latest developments of our company - ultrasound tomographs A1040 MIRA and A1020 MIRA Lite to assess the strength of concrete UK1401. When conducting ultrasonic testing of concrete using the indicated devices, it is easy to detect defects of the following sizes:

  • from Ø10 mm - a cylindrical image of the defect;
  • from Ø25 mm - spherical image of the defect.
