The 245/300kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) is a compact, metal-enclosed switchgear assembly rated for 245,000/300,000 volts. It uses SF₆ gas for insulation and arc quenching, integrating circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, and instrument transformers in a sealed enclosure. The design reduces space requirements compared to conventional air-insulated switchgear.
