Anton Paar GmbH is an Austrian manufacturer of high-precision laboratory instruments and process measurement technology headquartered in Graz. The company was founded in 1922 by Anton Paar as a locksmith's workshop specializing in the production of scientific instruments. Over more than a century, Anton Paar has grown into a globally leading provider of analytical instrumentation. The company develops and produces a wide range of instruments for density and concentration measurement, rheology, viscometry, particle characterization, microwave digestion, and sample preparation. Anton Paar also distributes the Brabender product line, which includes instruments for flour and dough analysis, laboratory milling, and rubber testing. The company is known for its innovations in density measurement using the oscillating U-tube principle, which was introduced in 1967 and became a global standard. Today, Anton Paar operates more than 30 sales subsidiaries and 200 service partners.
