OUR ADVANTAGES
Surface modification and alloying of the working layer of cast iron molds can be achieved through the use of active paints for cores. Replacing some of the graphite in the working layer with carbides slows oxidation that develops in graphite inclusions, leading to increased thermal stability of the mold. Further decomposition of the carbides during cooling of the casting in the mold and during operation of the mold leads to compaction of the cast iron. The thickness of the improved layer can be 4-8 mm. Mold durability increases by 10-14% due to slower development of the fuming network and increased resistance to ingot jamming.
The structural homogeneity of the metal from which they are made significantly impacts the durability of molds. Steel and ductile iron castings exhibit pronounced shrinkage, and shrinkage defects in castings lead to premature failure of the molds. Our company's automated casting process development system, using ProCast and LVMFlow (casting process modeling) software, enables castings to be launched into production only after all possible defects have been eliminated during the design stage.
Gray and ductile iron molds undergo heat treatment to relieve internal stress. Large-scale furnaces (2 x 7000 x 7000 x 14000 mm, 2 x 2500 x 1850 x 5500 mm) allow for quick and high-quality heat treatment of large molds.
The availability of 6 CNC machines for the production of pattern equipment, operating in 2 shifts, allows us, if necessary, to allocate capacity for the production of urgent orders within 3-5 working days.
A wide range of large flask equipment allows for the production of large-sized molds of various configurations
It is possible to carry out machining of molds in the mechanical workshop of our company.
Manufacture of cast iron and steel slag tanks (slag pits) using the casting method in the chemical industry
A slag tank (slag pit) is a metal container for draining and transporting metallurgical slag during metal smelting.
