The CORTEX® central application platform is used to optimize, monitor, and automate rig equipment functions for APEX® Rigs. Together with our PTEN+™ Performance Center in Houston, TX, the CORTEX® platform enhances our ability to improve drilling performance for our customers.

The Cortex® platform automates and optimizes rig equipment functions on APEX rigs. It includes the Adaptive Auto Driller for consistent drilling parameters and reduced variability. The Enhanced Oscillator automates rocking actions to improve weight transfer and sliding ROP. Cortex Connect automates slips-to-weight and weight-to-slips processes. The Downlink module automates commands to rotary steerable tools. Additional modules address managed pressure drilling, reaming, and stick-slip mitigation. The platform integrates with the PTEN Digital Performance Center for real-time monitoring and support. Cortex® enables operators to maintain consistent performance while reducing manual intervention.
