Disc Cutters

SKIF three- and two-sided disk cutters occupy a leading position in the world among cutters of similar purpose. They have a system of stepless width adjustment within 3 mm. Reconfiguration of a three-sided cutter to a two-sided one and vice versa is carried out by a simple replacement of cassettes. The optimal shape of the chip flutes of cutters with both normal and fine pitch allows milling deep grooves (depth to the hub) in one pass. Of particular importance are cutters with fine pitch, the number of teeth of which is 20 - 40% more than the number of teeth of any known in the world design of disk cutters with mechanical fastening of plates and approaches the maximum number of teeth of similar cutters with brazed hard alloy plates. Created to solve problems of processing high-strength aerospace materials, the cutters have a minimum number of parts in the plate fastening mechanism and are highly reliable, which allows them to be effectively used in "unmanned technology". SKIF disc cut-off cutters are produced in the range of diameters from 100 to 1010 mm and width from 4 to 12 mm. They have a high-rigidity design with tangential fastening of multi-faceted cutting plates.
